Connecting Code to a PHPmyAdmin Database

To ensure the project brief is met I will need to connect the web application to a database using phpmyadmin. The first step in this process was downloading the phpMyAdmin folder from the website. Once this was downloaded I then had to upload it onto my ‘dakar’ server account. These two steps were quick and easy to complete.

Once the phpMyAdmin software was installed on the server I then started to connect the code for the web application to the database.

Displayed below is the PHP code entered into the ‘index.php’ page of the web application code. This PHP code now means the website will be linked to the database. This process was simple to understand. Now I have connected the project to the database my group and I can successfully complete the brief effectively and create an application where users can log in and submit data.
